For a short Himalayan experience from Pokhara, compare Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal first. Tilicho Lake suits travellers interested in a more remote lake landscape, while Muktinath and Damodar Kunda serve different pilgrimage goals. The best route depends on your destination priority and whether you are buying a shared seat or the whole aircraft.

Starting fares below use the current published package pricing. Shared fares are per person; private fares are per helicopter. They do not confirm seats, landings or an all-inclusive total. Obtain the itinerary, inclusions and final quotation before payment. Listed duration is the package duration, not continuous flying time or a guaranteed hotel-to-hotel schedule.

Annapurna Base Camp for the sanctuary experience

ABC is the strongest starting choice if you want a flight toward the Annapurna Sanctuary and a proposed base camp visit. The destination is approximately 4,130 metres above sea level. Its attraction is the mountain enclosure and the change from Pokhara's lower valley to a high alpine setting.

Choose this route when the base camp experience matters more than adding multiple destinations. If you only want aerial sightseeing, say so: a flyover and a planned landing are different products. Read the ABC flight details.

Mardi Himal for a shorter listed excursion

Mardi Himal is another Pokhara option to compare when time is limited. Its current listed duration appears in the table. The precise viewpoint and landing elevation must be identified in the itinerary because a trekking-region name is not a single helipad.

Tilicho and pilgrimage routes

Tilicho's appeal is its high mountain lake setting. Damodar Kunda is a separate sacred destination in Mustang, requiring its own permissions and pilgrimage plan. Neither should be chosen simply because it appears possible to add it to an ABC flight.

For Muktinath, consider access from the landing point, steps, assistance and worship time. A passenger who can board a helicopter may still need help during the temple visit. A complete pilgrimage price should make these ground arrangements visible.

Best season and where to place the trip in your holiday

Spring and autumn are the usual starting choices for a mountain-focused Nepal holiday. October and November are particularly associated with clearer post-monsoon skies in Nepal Tourism Board guidance. Actual flying still depends on conditions across the whole route.

Place the flight early in your Pokhara stay. A simple example is arrival and settling in on the first day, the helicopter request on the second, and a flexible day afterward. This gives you an alternative date without making the entire holiday depend on one morning.

What your budget should cover

Compare the helicopter, applicable fees, hotel transfers and any planned meal or ground assistance. Large luggage is usually unnecessary for a scenic return; a small approved bag keeps the airport experience simpler. A private fare divided between four approved passengers can be useful for comparison, but it is not an advertised shared-seat ticket.

Annapurna fixed departures

A dated departure uses its own per-person fare, separate from the general ABC shared starting fare of USD 550. Selecting that departure carries its rate into your reservation. A request is not a confirmed booking.

No fixed departure is currently published for this route. Ask about your preferred date.

Frequently asked questions

What is the published shared starting fare for Mardi Himal?

The Mardi Himal shared starting fare is USD 345 per person, subject to a compatible departure. Compare it with other shared fares, not a whole-aircraft price.

How much does an ABC helicopter tour cost?

The Annapurna Base Camp Tour currently lists USD 2,150 per private helicopter and USD 550 per shared passenger. A dated fixed departure may have a different per-person fare; use the departure you select rather than substituting the general package rate.

Can I do a helicopter tour and return to Pokhara the same day?

Yes, the scenic round trips in the table are marketed as same-day experiences. Keep the rest of the day flexible because the stated duration does not guarantee a departure or return time.

Can I fly to Everest from Pokhara?

The standard Everest listing departs from Kathmandu. A custom Pokhara-origin request would need different routing and pricing; it should not be priced as the normal Kathmandu package.

Is hotel pickup included?

Only when the written inclusion list says so. Obtain the meeting point and transfer arrangement before the flight day, particularly if your hotel is outside central Lakeside.

Can one person join an ABC flight?

Yes, one person can request a shared seat. Confirmation requires a workable passenger group and operation; a request does not by itself establish a scheduled departure.

How early should I book?

Send the request as soon as your dates are reasonably settled. For a shared seat, more notice and alternative dates give the desk more possibilities for matching; last-minute availability is not guaranteed.

Can we land at two destinations?

A custom route can be considered, but two destination names do not guarantee two landings. Additional flying, permissions, loading and ground time must be included in one complete proposal.

What happens if the mountains are cloudy?

The carrier may delay, reroute, shorten or cancel the operation according to conditions. The booking terms determine rescheduling and any refund; a scenic view cannot be guaranteed by the price.
